It makes me a little sad that one of the greatest port cities in the world apparently has no port in the city. Instead it has one several miles away and the industry it supports glossed over.
Maybe it’s because I live in a harbour city and when you drive in from the north, the first thing you see are the goods yards and the trains waiting to take the containers to other places. It’s a little ugly yes, but with hills on all three sides there isn’t another place to go and when you consider the value of the items hidden away in those containers suddenly those containers and trains become worth it.
It’s probably why I like steampunk.
